A New Princess Joins Our Family!

We are proud to announce the newest member of our family! Princess Aurora Nicole Deming. She was born on 1/11/11...how's that for a fun birthdate?! She was born at 12:36 am weighing just barely under 6 lbs. and 18-1/2" long. Dad, Darwin, and Mom, Kiara are truly thrilled with this new little bundle who will rule their lives from now on! We are already in love with her.

Koda's First Birthday

It doesn't seem possible that it's been a year since our grand-daughter Dakoda joined our family..(she was born on her great-grandpa Lape's 70th birthday...January 7, 2010.) This cute little girl has been so fun to watch change and grow. From trying to whistle to her fun little "HIYA" as you come into the room, she is sure a joy in our lives.
Koda has learned a lot this past year and we are having fun teaching her sign language...She picks things up quickly and copies everything we do.
Happy Birthday, Dakoda Rae!
We Love You!

I've been in New York with my parents for four weeks now, and I have alot of catching up to do. Mom is healing nicely from her knee replacement surgery, and faithfully going to physical therapy and I get to chase her around Walmart and Stop & Shop while she wheels around in those fancy electric carts.

Last Saturday, we celebrated Mom and Dad's 50th wedding anniversary. It was the first time in more than ten years since all seven of us siblings have been together. We had the best time. We surprised Mom and Dad by each of us saying something to them. Most of us toasted while some did some "roasting". The highlight was when my sister in law Cindy (Tom's wife) presented Mom and Dad with a special photo album she made with pics of their wedding and all us that have come along..I think we counted and we now number 45 (& counting!) We took pictures until our cheeks hurt from smiling.....

We have had family parties, we're planning family reunions, and yesterday a trip to Massachusettes to share some special time with my sweet friend Sheri, and her wonderful new husband Paul. Then had a chance to play tourist in Boston with our .cousin, Jim and Skylar. To end our trip there, we went to Mike's Pastries, which has the best cannolis! There were people lined up out the door! We had the perfect New England weather with the fog and light rain. We got out of town just as it started to pour! It was great!

Next week, who knows what it will bring!

My Trip to St George

I had the opportunity this last weekend to go to St George and spend time with the Girls and Tayton. I almost didn't think I was going to make it, because the afternoon before, we got in a car accident, so I spent a few hours in the drs office, then the shuttle driver I had to go to St George left me stranded at a gas station in Springville! But after sweat and tears, I made it with many thanks to a wonderful family from Idaho Falls, Idaho who took me part of the way and caught up with the shuttle driver!
Amaia and I ate at Players Restaurant and got to hug the cook!
Lance, Jaisy & Amaia playing with Playdoh-Mommy's enemy
Messy, but yummy fudgesicles
Amaia was playing preschool with all of her friends
After a few raindrops, a beautiful rainbow
the kids were so excited

Thanks Kniesha, Jaisy, Amaia and Tayton for such a great weekend. I loved spending time doing the "little things" with the girls!

It's Father's Day!

First off, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the wonderful fathers in our lives. Where would we be without them?!

Our biggest news break of the week....Brianna and Mike are engaged! Mike proposed last Sunday up in the mountains after some 4-wheeling and hiking. They are planning an October 11th, 2008 wedding day. I still can't believe that my baby girl is getting married!
Frank has successfully made it through 2 weeks now riding his new scooter! (it's more like a motorcycle, but what do I know?!) I am beginning to think that he is going through a mid-life crisis-or male menopause-he's more worried than ever about his physique and now has a hot-rod! What next?! His school kids think he's pretty cool.
From what I have heard, Darwin and Kiara made it through their trek. I haven't heard about their experience yet, as they have had company since they got back, but I am sure it was amazing. Thank you for your example to all of us, you two!
Shannon took some pictures of Skylar last night at Kiddie Kandids. He has an appointment at a Talent Agency tomorrow. They scouted him at the Mall last week. My baby boy is sure growing up! We think he looks alot like my brothers Bill and Chris. Good Luck, Skylar!
Tayton moved back home on Wednesday so he could spend more time with his girls. They still aren't quite sure about it though, because every day he leaves to go to work, they think he is going back to St. George. But they like the idea of going to sleep in his room and then waking up and seeing him in the morning! We're glad you're here Tayton!
Kniesha and I took the girls to the bowling alley on Wednesday for Jaisy's league. She did so well! She bowled 66 for her first game, then 70 for her second. It was very obvious that she loved having her mom there! She would come for high 5's and hugs each time she got done with her turn. Amaia spent most of her time sharing treats with Jaisy's team mate-a cute little girl named Joey. Also, sweet Tyla ( a fun neighbor girl) came too. She kept Amaia occupied when the treats were gone. Jaisy will start her swim lessons in a few weeks, and all three girls (Jaisy, Amaia and Hannah) will be going to gymnastics starting next month. Amaia loves to play being a "Baby" and I just love to snuggle her whenever she lets me. I am the luckiest Nanny alive!
Shannon went to a sewing class this week at the Extension Service. She will go to 2 more this coming week. From what she learned, I am hoping she will teach me. I am a slow learner, and I am praying she will have enough patience with me. Hannah and Liam have been alot of fun this week. Liam is cooing more and loves having the girls sing to him. Hannah starts to sing and dance any time she hears some music. It just makes us smile till our cheeks hurt!

Well, I think that's enough for now. It's on to another busy week for us all.
